Privacy Policy
For Invaders (working title). Last updated 11 October 2026.
This policy explains what information the Invaders mobile game collects, why, and the choices you have. In short: the game only sends gameplay statistics if you agree to it, the current test version has no adverts and no purchases, and the game doesn't ask for your name, email or location.
Who we are
Invaders is made by Duke Street Interactive, the games division of Duke Street Media, a business based in Dover and Deal, Kent, United Kingdom. We are responsible for the information described here. You can contact us at privacy@dukestreetinteractive.com.
What the game collects
Gameplay statistics (only if you agree)
The first time you open the game, it asks whether you're happy to share gameplay statistics. If you say no, none are sent. If you say yes, the game sends information about how it's played, through Unity Analytics, a service run by Unity Technologies. This helps us find levels that are too hard or too easy and fix problems. It includes:
- levels started, completed and failed, and boss fights attempted
- Arcade runs: waves reached, scores and continues used
- in-game items earned and spent (such as scrap)
- when a play session starts and ends
- technical details such as your device model, operating system version, app version and approximate country, plus a random identifier for your installation of the game
This information isn't linked to your name or contact details, and we don't use it to identify you. Unity processes it on our behalf; you can read how Unity handles data in the Unity Privacy Policy.
Your game progress
Your progress, settings, scores and items are saved on your device so you can carry on where you left off. If Android backup is turned on for your phone, Android may include the game's saved progress in your device backup to your Google account, so it can be restored if you reinstall or change phone. Google handles that backup under its own Privacy Policy, and you can turn backup off in your phone's settings.
Adverts and purchases
The current test version shows no adverts and has no purchases. No advertising company receives any information from the game.
When the full version of the game is released, it will show adverts, with a one-off £2.99 purchase through Google Play to remove them. Before that happens, we'll update this policy to name our advertising partner and explain exactly what it collects, and the game will ask your permission before showing personalised adverts. Google will handle any payment, so we'll never see your card or bank details.
What we don't collect
- We don't ask for your name, email address, phone number, photos or contacts.
- We don't collect your precise location.
- We don't sell your information.
Why we use it
| Information | Why | Legal basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Gameplay statistics | To balance and improve the game and fix problems | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Saved progress on your device | To let you continue playing | Needed to provide the game you've chosen to play |
How long we keep it
We keep gameplay statistics only for as long as they're useful for improving the game, after which they're deleted or kept in a form that can't be linked to an installation. Saved progress stays on your device until you delete the game or clear its data.
Your choices and rights
You can withdraw your consent to gameplay statistics at any time by emailing us, or by clearing the game's storage in your phone's settings (Settings › Apps › Invaders › Storage › Clear storage), after which the game will ask you again. Clearing storage also resets your progress.
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Because statistics aren't linked to your name, we may ask for details from the game, such as your device model and roughly when you played, to find the right data. Email privacy@dukestreetinteractive.com and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Invaders isn't aimed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and statistics are only sent with consent. If you think a child has shared information with us, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the game uses information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For important changes, we'll tell you in the game before they take effect.
